Quarterfinals, Match 2 results
Despite his long-honored history, today is the day that Doc Savage goes down. Especially given the fact that in the designated story (Doc Savage Annual #4) the Man of Bronze does more soul-searching and internal struggle than external fighting. This stands in marked to the Voice who single-handedly fights off an entire insurrectionist army. Apparently, readers shared this opinion, as 100% of votes cast were given to Voice. I guess that settles it. Voice is going to the semifinals!

Technically, the quarterfinals aren't really quarterfinals. Due to our beginning number of competitors, we had to award a few byes. Today's fight pits one such beneficiary, Inspector Von Ghoul, against Marvel's man of the shadows, Prowler!
So who wins? Does a week off benefit the supernatural sentry, or does the fact that Prowler's had to keep scrapping consistently put him over the top? You decide.

This fight takes place outside a small seaside New England cottage. Though not completely isolated, this is a rural setting. There are a few other cottages visible in the distance. It is a chilly overcast day. It feels as if a storm is brewing.
